Dear Guest, in order to facilitate your stay in the Capital of Italian Culture, CDC2013 Organizing Secretariat will be pleased to help you with your accommodation in the cradle of Italian history.
Florence offers a wide range of accommodation possibilities, from cheap rooms and B&B to luxury hotels. The Organizing Secretariat has reserved a block of rooms in recommended 4 and 3 star hotels most conveniently located to reach the Conference venue and agreed special rates for attendees.
Florence is an open air museum and as such it is visited by many tourists throughout the year. Please remember also that Sunday 8 December is a religious holiday in Italy and Christmas holidays will be approaching. Therefore we strongly advise to book well in advance.

Grand Hotel Minerva is a 4-star superior boutique hotel in the heart of Florence's historic center in its illustrious Piazza Santa Maria Novella. After years of renovation, the Piazza has now been returned to its historic magnificence and is a peaceful haven for pedestrians replete with public green space, restaurants, bars and cafés.
Located steps away from Florence central train station, the Santa Maria Novella Hotel opens its windows onto the piazza and Santa Maria Novella Cathedral. This hotel is a marvelous painting of history, art and culture dating back to the 19th century with the name of Hotel Nazionale, a stop for businessmen and artists from all over the world. The restoration aimed to an extreme detail care in details. Today, the Santa Maria Novella Hotel is with no doubt the most chic address in Florence to visit the city from a privileged point of view.
The leading theme of the L'O Hotel is the international Haute Horlogerie (Fine Watchmaking) inspired, in particular, by the collections of vintage wristwatches. Here, some of the finest top-end watches become decoration details and interior suggestions. A strong personality and deep man's traits are the base ideas of the L'O. The ancient residence of the Carrega Bertolini princess has been cleverly adapted to give you plenty different ways to enjoy your stay in Florence. From the leaded windows you will delight in unusual views of the city. The ample area, harmonious lights and the warmth of the hand-crafted wooden furnishings all add to the intimate atmosphere and will most certainly meet your requirements.
Please be advised that a portion of the hotel front might be scaffolded in preparation of unforeseen renovation works that shall start immediately after CDC2013. No room of CDC allotment nor any CDC function will be involved or affected.
Sober in their decoration and plain in their furniture: simple and functional with all the items that you need for a pleasant journey. Classic Rooms can be provided (according to your needs) with two single or a king size bed, bathtub or shower.
This little dynamic, energetic, contemporary "City Riad", with its fascinating inner court, is located in a noble building at number 23 of Piazza Santa Maria Novella. The Rosso 23, fully decorated in red and grey tones, is a high quality 3-star hotel, providing 42 rooms and very smart common areas with curious details. The fascinating staircase that leads to the upper floors is witness of the nobility of this building, nowadays home for Guests.
The Universo Hotel is an eclectic three-star Hotel whose interiors are inspired by the Seventies and the pop culture. Essential but complete in its services, it is thought for young and fresh people who wish to discover the city from a privileged starting point, the one that you see, when you wake up in the morning, from the windows of its 44 rooms, 20 of which are "with a view" to one of the most characteristic piazzas.
