There are 61 CSS Chapters (see Chapters
listed by region) around the world. Three new chapters were
formed in Croatia, Italy, and Poland in 1998 and 1999. The Committee
is in the process of opening new chapters in Hungary and Russia.
Two special programs have been established for Chapters. The
LASS
Program and the Distinguished Lecturers
Program.

Outstanding Chapter Award
The Outstanding Chapter Award is selected each year in confidential
voting by the members of the Member Activities Board. The Award
consists of a grant of $1,000 U.S. to subsidize travel to attend the
CDC Awards Banquet, where a plaque is presented. In addition, the
local chapter also receives another $1,000 to subsidize its
activities.
The 2000 Outstanding Chapter Award winner is the Santa Clara Valley
Chapter, with its Chair, Ernesto MORALEZ III. Congratulations to
all members of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter!
