The scope of this technical committee covers modelling, simulation, identification and control of automotive systems. The most important systems are engines, powertrains, emission post-treatment systems, vehicle dynamics, hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles. Furthermore the committee is interested in sensors, actuators and subsystems such as power electronics for automotive systems, electronics control units, vehicles accessories and driver-vehicle interfaces.

This technical committee provides the meeting point for running technical meetings, organizing invited sessions at major conferences, web sites for technical resources, and electronic newsletters about previous research areas.
