The IEEE Control Systems Society Best CCTA Paper Award will be given for an exceptional paper (as judged by the Best CCTA Paper Award Committee) presented at the annual IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications in the year preceding the award, e.g., the award will be given in the year 2026 to a paper presented at the 2025 CCTA. Historical Background: Established in 2025 Prize: The award consists of a $1000 honorarium to be divided amongst the authors, and a certificate laminated on a plaque for each of the authors. Funding: Funded by the IEEE Control Systems Society Presentation: At most one award will be presented annually at the awards ceremony of the IEEE CCTA held the year immediately following the original presentation of the paper; travel expenses for one author to attend the CCTA held the year of the award will be covered as part of the award. Basis for Judging: Potential impact on the field and translational promise, technical excellence and rigor, clarity of writing, novelty and the paper’s influence on the conference’s community. Eligibility: Authors of papers presented at the CCTA in the year immediately preceding the award. Nomination Details: Nomination forms and reference letters describing the excellence of the nominated paper should be submitted on the IEEE Control Systems Society Awards nomination system, http://awards.paperplaza.net/ by January 15 of the year following the presentation of the paper at the conference.
